“The Drummer”, off Niki & the Dove’s, The Drummer EP.

Cannot WAIT for their full-length album in June 2012, entitled “Instinct”.

Missed them at sx for the second time. One of my big regrets. Love those swedes.

Have fun dancing in your room/office/car to this one. :)

Hard to say.

Sometimes, people ask me what kind of music I’m into and I really should just say - all of it, minus 95% of what’s on the radio currently.

Case in point: Tonight, I got the new Pictureplane album, bought an old Willie Nelson record, and an even older Ray Charles compilation.

Parker Ainsworth, “Forgiver” off his new EP, ”Leave on the Lights

Most of you that have been reading my blog for awhile have seen iphone videos I’ve posted of Parker singing. He’s one of my best and oldest friends in Austin and a few years ago, moved to Los Angeles. He’s been doing quite well in the singer/songwriter community and recently did an indie-a-go-go fundraiser that I posted about to finish his EP,  which was wildly successful.

The release date is December 11th at Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles if you’re local to that area - you should go.

All week, the full length EP is streaming on his artist page here. Check it out.

As someone who used to work in the live music industry, I shoot straight. And yes, he’s my dear friend, but I wouldn’t be promoting him if I didn’t believe that he was wildly talented.

It’s been pretty amazing to watch his songwriting and voice grow over the last 14 years of our friendship.

What a fantastic love letter to Austin from FunFunFun Fest.

Way to go JP and the guys at guerilla suit who produced this.

Super rad. Plus, added bonus on the song - Neon Indian, “Polish Girl”.

Whole-heartedly agree with Nat. The album kills. His US tour is May 20th-June 6th. Hope I’m back from London by then to catch his date in Boston…

the jam.

This dude is crazy talented. Watch his other videos too.

So. This is my best friend in the whole wide world. His name is Parker Ainsworth and he lives in L.A. and he’s a songwriter and musician.  I’ve posted lots of his videos here before and he’s uber-talented (I’m not just saying that either).

He’s trying to raise $6,000 to finish his next EP on Indie-go-go. If you’re so inclined, please watch the video and donate.
